E.C. Manning Park backcountry reservations

Just a three-hour drive from the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan, E.C. Manning Park is among B.C.’s most popular destinations. E.C. Manning Park offers plentiful opportunities for both frontcountry and backcountry camping.

Three backcountry campgrounds within E.C. Manning Park now require reservations during the peak summer season. These are Buckhorn, Kicking Horse, and Frosty Creek.

At Buckhorn and Kicking Horse campgrounds, you must make a reservation for any overnight stay between June 28 and September 2, 2024. At Frosty Creek, you must make a reservation between July 26 and October 20, 2024.

We require peak-season reservations so you can arrive certain that a tent pad is waiting for you. This also allows us to minimize negative impacts on the area’s sensitive environment (to learn more, see the E.C. Manning Park page).

Camping reservations are not available for other backcountry areas in E.C. Manning Park, but a backcountry permit is always required. To learn more, see the backcountry permit registration page.

For full details of our reservation policies, download the reservation services policies and terms [PDF].
